Nice work mate and fine tribute, thank you, regards, Terry.
Thanks Terry the greatest generation deserve it !
Great work great to see completed
When you build a Huey model
I found the same old social media politics, bickering and labeling of fake news. Deleted it.
That's the look I had on my face when my wife found out how big the stash had gotten 😁 😆 😅 😂 🤣
I absolutely agree with your message.
Unfortunatly some people are getting through our "chemin," to teach us the worst...
Great video... I'm really digging the Tour of Duty intro part. I was a big fan of that show when it came out. The Huey is looking good. Great subject.
Love it!😍
Looks Great!New Subscriber! Please take a look at my Channel , Thank you 🙏
Ddd
I'm building this kit as we speak. I had similar problems but did manage to get the half's to eventually fit. The Trumpter Ju 87 is a dream compared to this.I wish Trumpter would use rubber tires on these large kits.
Very Beautiful work expecialy the oil wasch effect! For mettalic livery planes i use model masters colors staineless steel for coloring aircaft for pannels magnessium Always model masters.... aniway Amazing 1\32 scale is very realistic! The P-47 Is on my favorite allied ww2 figther!
when I did models years ago about the only 1/32 available was a Spitfire and they were looked down ,,entered a show onetime with a ''Spit'' and I was the only one there hardly got a second glance it was all about 1/48 or 72's
Nice matchbox........ merci
Really look relastic.
Nice paint job.
nice greg
wow beautiful kit , thank
proyeccionsatelital ps thank you
Very nice work indeed, what an excellent build. Top marks for your splendid work in the cockpit area! 👍
Holy Crap! Nice work!
PS. I've just seen your clip of the section of one of the gliders that landed on the Vercours. Very intersting. Hold on to it- someone may find other parts one day and start a restoration project. There are only a tiny number of WW2 gliders on display anywhere in the world, and non flying, to my knowledge.
Excellent modelling details.
Thank you very much Joaquín
Interesting and poignant. Unlike the majority of French citizens in WW2, the people of Vercors very bravely resisted the occupation, and many did so openly as Maquisards. It is good that you keep both the memory alive and also preserve a bit of aviation history. De George dans Ecosse
Thank you Georges for your comment this is so important to preserve memories of those who served during WWII, my Grand father was a member of the French resistance at Vercors he was in 12th French Mountain battalion (chasseurs Alpins). Best Regards Fab Vercors
It's pretty much as i'd have typed it, except i'd have put Ecole-garcon, and I don't know how to put grave and acute accents, circumflexes or cedillas on my English keyboard. My poor French was also useful when I was briefly on an exercise in Canada avec le "Van Doos" (Le Vingt-Deax Regiment D'Infanterie, qu'est majorite Quebecquis) Bon Chance, George.
Very nice work on the P-40B. My uncle might have dropped supplies to your grandpa during WW II. He was a flight engineer/ top turret gunner for the 492nd BG for 35 missions.
You're in Vancouver? I'm in Calgary Thanks for the video i'll watch the series -Roger
where is the finished model?
At 11:05, isn´t that the leading edge slats and not the ailerons?
that grain in your paint is called overspray and its from you not having a clue how an airbrush works
Great work! Your models looks excellent. I have the Redux version of the Trumpeter Razorback waiting to be built- Im planning to do it in the colours of the 57th FG based in Italy in 1944. Happy modelling!
Nice intro!
What a fantastic video on one of the often overlooked operations by B17`s over Europe and it must have been a great honor to meet one of the airman who flew on these missions. yours Steve......
Trumpeter 1/32 P-47 - 79th Fighter Group Southern France invasion 1944
These are some of the missions that people don't hear enough about. The 8th A.F. was not all about mass destruction, humanitarian missions were also in their flight log. Thanks for helping spread the facts. You are very lucky to meet this man, hear his story and spend time with him. More than one of us, I am sure, are jealous of you. - Bob
Hi Bob thank you for your kind words yes i'm lucky to have met members of the greatest generation and i think it is a good oportunity to preserve memory and never let them go i always tryed to stay involved in Vet association since 1998 and today once again i'm glad to have recorded Ary Arneson's testimonies. Yes you are righ They flew these secret & risky missions (as the Lufwaffe was still active in SE France) and brough hope and support to the Free French in the Vercors and the Alps.
We owe an incredible debt to WW2 veterans. We live free due to their self sacrifice. Terrific testimonial video Fab......great way to keep this living history alive. I'm jealous that you live in such a beautiful area.....the Alps is a paradise. Good Man. Bill.
Hi Bill thanks i was fortunate to meet him and his family and tour the Vercors area with them. Also to have this 1/48 Monogram kit signed by a member of the greatest generaion! Alps are beautiful during summer season and weird during the winter !
That was an awesome video, I watched every minute and thoroughly enjoyed every moment! Firstly, I'd like to say, thanks for sharing your amazing time with this gentleman, secondly, I'd like to say that it looks very beautiful where you live in the Vercores, and thirdly....if this chap was 20 years old 70 years ago, he looks incredible for a 90 year old!! Incredible stories that he told that required immense bravery and courage, and nonchalantly he said..."that was on my 32nd mission?!!" How many missions did he fly and survive?! Such courage and I'm so grateful for his service to our freedoms. A really moving video of courage, bravery and nostalgia....this experience will live with you forever!
Thank you Martin for these kind words i will tell Mr Arneson about all your comments. He is actually 91 years old and we were fortunate that he made the trip this year. He was awarded of French Legion d'Honeur medal and i think it was well deserved. He flew 35 missions and was lucky to go back home. I met Ary in 1999 in Seattle when i presented my granpa's free French resistant plaque to the 94th Bombgroup and these moments are engraved in my mind forever. My granfather was in the French Resistance at Vercors and was one o those who was picking up the canisters on the ground. I'm really luck to have met these members of the greatest generation and made it for the memory.
***** It was very commendable to award him the French Legion of Honor Medal, truly deserved and yes, at his age now, you were very fortunate for him to make the trip back. That must have been a great trip for you to Seattle to honor the 94th Bomb Group with your Grandfathers medal, a great way of thanking and acknowledging them for their support to the French Resistance, who themselves did an incredible brave job of spying, intelligence gathering and rebel attacks on the enemy. This was a Fab.......ulous story!
FullMoonDrummer Lol Thanks Martin Cheers
Amazing experiences! A live testimony of theyr gift of freedom to us
Thanks Alex for them :)
My honor and pleasure mon ami
Beautiful jug.
Thanks a lot Rick :)
I just sub'ed your channel thanks to Alexmodeling recommendation. Great work here on that CA kit.
Thank you very much for your kind words and support thanks to my Bro Alex for also supporting me in all circumstances
BEAUTIFUL - 47. Being a -47 fan myself I appreciate it when someone takes the time and makes the effort to create such a historical re-creation. What do you think of the I.P.? That first piece being clear doesn't make sense. I am also a big fan of Mr.Surfacer. Terrific products. I have three of each of the 1/32nd -47's, still waiting to be built though. Once again great build, CONGRATS! - Bob
Hi Bob i'm sorry for being so late but thank you so very much for your support and nice words. Yes i'm definitivly a Jug's fan and this historical research of the 79th FG is very special to me as this group were based to an airfield located 30 miles from me. Trumpeters kits are real nice kits but i think instructions are a bit complicated sometimes Fab
Amazing work on the Huey. Nice work with the stencil work.
Hi there Fab you have did an excellent job on the Huey, that can be really annoying when the decals spilt in 2 or 3 pieces but you managed to sort it out I also like the "for Cieran" a nice personal touch. yours Steve.......
Hi Jack sorry for being late for my response, yes these decals was real nightmare but patience can fix many problems up !! Cheers
That is so cool. Has he seen it yet ?
Thanks a lot, Yes he has
Great job on the Huey mate, too bad about the problematic decals, but the personal decal at the end was a nice touch! : )
Thank you very much for your comment Mate sorry for being too late to reply to you. Cheers
stunning job there! it looks really great! love it
Thank you so very much for your support
Great build Fab!
Thank you for your kind words Tommy Cheers
Fab, the Huey turned out great....sorry to hear about the sucky decals. Some manufacturers get a bad reputation for crappy decals....a deserved reputation. I like the dedication stencil you did .....nice sentiment. Keep having fun Brother. Bill.
Thank you Bill yes i almost went to hell with these deccals but fortunatli i was able to get them back "to life" with a bit of patience, hand brushing and oil paints Lol
A fine result and a wonderful build Fab. Nice touch with Ceiran's name :)
Thank you Cohen i surfered a bit with the decals i took a revenge on them with a little stencil Lol
Great job. Those Hobbyboss "Easy" kits are often dismissed. Better to build a few of these than have a shelf full of unmade super kits! lol
